Why now

Perth homeowners can now make batteries part of the solar conversation.

Solar panels reduce daytime grid use. A battery can store excess solar for evening use, backup-ready designs, and smarter participation in retailer programs where eligible. With federal and WA battery support available, many Perth households are now comparing battery-ready systems instead of solar-only quotes.

Solar panels

High-quality rooftop solar designed around your bill, roof space, shading, export limits and future energy needs.

Home batteries

Battery systems sized for evening loads, appliance use, backup priorities and the solar generation your roof can support.

Rebate support

We help you understand federal battery discounts, WA Residential Battery Scheme requirements and what applies to your home.

Battery rebates Perth

Government battery rebates can reduce the upfront cost of eligible systems.

The Australian Government’s Cheaper Home Batteries Program can provide around a 30% discount on eligible battery systems connected to new or existing solar. WA’s Residential Battery Scheme may add further support for eligible Synergy and Horizon Power customers, including combined rebate values of up to $5,000 for Synergy customers and up to $7,500 for Horizon Power customers on a 10 kWh battery.

Eligibility, approved products, installer accreditation, VPP participation and rebate availability must be confirmed before purchase. Rebate values can change and are not guaranteed until assessed.

Perth solar and battery FAQs

Common questions from homeowners.

Can I add a battery to my existing solar system?

Often yes, but compatibility depends on your inverter, switchboard, available solar generation, battery type and connection requirements.

Should I install solar and battery together?

Installing together can simplify design and rebate planning. Some households still start with solar first and add a battery later.

How much can a battery save?

Battery value depends on your evening usage, tariff, solar export, battery size, VPP settings and rebate eligibility. A bill review gives the clearest estimate.
